2027 Feria dates and how they are set
The Feria has no fixed date: it is held two weeks after Holy Week, according to Visita Sevilla. In 2027 Easter Sunday falls on 28 March, so Feria week looks like this:
| Day | What happens |
|---|---|
| Monday 12 April | Pescaíto dinner in the casetas and the lighting of the gateway at 00:00 |
| Tuesday 13 to Saturday 17 | Feria by day and by night |
| Sunday 18 April | Last day; fireworks by the Guadalquivir at midnight |
Visita Sevilla already lists the 2027 edition from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18 April. As of 14 October 2026 we have not yet found the council's full official calendar on sevilla.org; if you are buying non-changeable flights, check the city council's website first.
Since 2025 the Feria has used a short format, Monday to Sunday. TUSSAM, the city bus company, notes that 2024 was the last long-format Feria, which started on a Saturday. If a website says the lights go on on a Saturday night, it is describing that old format.
If your dates are flexible, check our Seville events calendar, where dated events appear as they are announced.
What the Feria is: the Real, the gateway and the lighting
The Feria began in 1846 as a livestock fair, according to Visita Sevilla, and is now a week-long party on its own fairground, the Real de la Feria, between the Los Remedios and Tablada districts. The city council divides it into three areas: the Real, with the casetas; the Calle del Infierno, with the funfair rides; and the car parks.
- The casetas. There are more than a thousand, with striped awnings, paper lanterns and streets covered in albero, the yellow earth used in Seville's gardens and bullrings. The streets are named after bullfighters.
- The gateway (portada). The monumental entrance changes every year. The 2027 design, Puerta a los sueños 1927 by Hugo Montalbán Ramos, recreates the Morocco Pavilion from the 1929 Exhibition and the Pino Montano farmhouse, as a tribute to the centenary of the Generation of '27 poets. It will be 50 metres wide and 40 metres high, according to the city council.
- The lighting (alumbrado). At midnight on Monday the gateway and the bulbs across the whole Real are switched on, section by section. In 2026 the council held a concert by the gateway from 22:00 beforehand; the 2027 programme has not been announced.
- The pescaíto. Monday's dinner of fried fish in the casetas, while everyone waits for the lights. It is a members' dinner: without an invitation you will watch it from the street.
- The fireworks. They close the Feria on Sunday night into Monday. Visita Sevilla suggests watching from the Muelle de las Delicias or from the Triana bridge and its surroundings.

Private and public casetas: where you can go in
This is the big question for visitors. Most casetas are private: they belong to families, groups of friends, companies or associations, and only members and their guests go in. Do not try to enter without being invited. If you know someone from Seville, going with them is the best way to experience the Feria from the inside.
Public casetas are open to everyone. According to Visita Sevilla, they stay open until 3:00 and only play rumbas and sevillanas. These were the public casetas in 2026 (Visita Sevilla's 2027 guide repeats the same list, pending an update):
| Caseta | Address in the Real |
|---|---|
| Turismo de Sevilla | Pascual Márquez, 225-229 |
| Caseta Municipal | Pepe Luis Vázquez, 53 |
| Distrito Casco Antiguo | Antonio Bienvenida, 97-101 |
| Distrito Este-Cerro-Amate | Pascual Márquez, 215-219 |
| Distrito Macarena-Macarena Norte | Costillares, 13 |
| Distrito Nervión-San Pablo-Santa Justa | Costillares, 22-26 |
| Distrito Sur-Bellavista-La Palmera | Ignacio Sánchez Mejías, 61-65 |
| Distrito Triana-Los Remedios | Pascual Márquez, 153-157 |
| Comisiones Obreras (trade union) | Pascual Márquez, 75 |
| UGT (trade union) | Antonio Bienvenida, 13 |
| USO (trade union) | Curro Romero, 25 |
| Partido Popular (political party) | Pascual Márquez, 66 |
| Hermandad de la Estrella | Juan Belmonte, 166 |
| La Pecera | Pascual Márquez, 9 |
| Marimorena | Manolo Vázquez, 31 |
| El Garbanzo Negro | Manolo Vázquez, 39 |
The Turismo de Sevilla caseta has a terrace and an indoor area; terrace tables need advance booking, made at the city's tourist offices. Visita Sevilla publishes its menus every year.
A tip from Visita Sevilla itself: if you have no invitation, go during the day. It is calmer and easier to find space in the public casetas. You can ask for addresses at the two tourist information points in the Real, at the gateway kiosk (Calle Antonio Bienvenida) and on Calle Costillares, from 12:30 to 18:30.
Hours: the Feria by day, by night and into the small hours
The Feria has two sides, according to Visita Sevilla:
- Daytime Feria, roughly 14:00 to 19:00. This is the time for the horse parade and lunch in the casetas, eaten late, between 15:00 and 16:00. Monday to Friday are working days in Seville, so many locals arrive after work.
- Night-time Feria, from 20:00. The horses and carriages leave, the streets are cleaned and the evening of dinner, dancing and drinks begins. Around 21:30, when the bullfight at the Maestranza ends, another wave of people arrives.
- The small hours. Public casetas close at 3:00, but most private ones carry on until dawn.
If you are with children or want the most traditional atmosphere, midday is the best time. In 2026, the busiest day on TUSSAM's Feria bus lines was Wednesday, a local holiday in Seville; expect bigger crowds that day.
What to wear
You do not have to dress in flamenco style. Visita Sevilla puts it this way: it is customary for women to wear a flamenco dress and for men to wear a jacket and tie, but if you do not have these, smart, comfortable clothes are fine.
- The flamenco dress comes from the work clothes of Andalusian country women and became the Feria outfit with the 1929 Exhibition, according to the city council. It is worn with a flower in the hair, a small shawl and earrings. Visita Sevilla notes that the flower in the hair is only worn with a flamenco dress.
- The traje de corto is the traditional riding outfit, inherited from farm work. You will see it on riders, men and women, during the horse parade.
- Shoes matter. You will walk and dance on albero, which stains. The city council suggests mid-heel shoes with a flamenco dress; with everyday clothes, wear comfortable shoes you can clean.
If you want to dress up without buying an outfit, the tourist office's 2027 Feria guide lists a rental service (dress, shawl and accessories) for €170.
What to eat and drink
Every caseta has its own kitchen and bar. The classics, according to Visita Sevilla:
- Rebujito. Manzanilla or fino sherry mixed with lemon-lime soda and plenty of ice. It goes down like water but it is not: in the April heat, pace yourself.
- Manzanilla and fino. The two classic Feria wines, from Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Jerez.
- Pescaíto frito. Fried fish (sole, small hake, anchovies, marinated dogfish and squid), the star of Monday night.
- To share. Ibérico ham and cured meats, prawns, Spanish omelette, montaditos (small sandwiches), salmorejo.
- The stew of the day at lunchtime: potatoes with cuttlefish, chickpeas or caldereta.
- Buñuelos or churros with chocolate at the end of the night, from the buñuelo stalls in the Real.
Carry cash. Card payments are more and more common, but some casetas use drink and food vouchers bought with cash.
The horse parade and carriages
In the afternoon the streets of the Real fill with riders and horse-drawn carriages. According to the city council, only carriages with a municipal licence may circulate during parade hours. Find some shade and watch them go by: it is one of the most striking sights of the week and it is free.
On the Sunday before the Feria, at 12:00, the Exhibición de Enganches (carriage-driving exhibition) is held in the Maestranza bullring with the city council's support. The 2027 date and tickets have not been published yet.
If you want a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, Visita Sevilla's guide gives a special Feria rate of €95 per hour, inside and outside the fairground, with an official stand next to the gateway.
Calle del Infierno, the funfair
This is the Feria's funfair, next to the Real. According to the city council, it covers 87,000 square metres with around 400 attractions: thrill rides and children's rides, raffle stalls, food stands and a circus. Its name ("Hell Street") comes from the noise and loud music.
In 2026 there were quiet hours for people with noise sensitivity on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 16:00 to 19:00, with ride music turned down or off. The 2027 schedule has not been announced.
Some websites mention a "children's day" with cheaper rides, but we have not found it in any official source, so do not count on it.
Getting there: metro, bus and taxi
Visita Sevilla advises not to drive. What follows is what ran during the 2026 Feria, which is the reference until the 2027 transport plan is published.
- Metro line 1. The stops for the Real are Plaza de Cuba, Parque de los Príncipes and Blas Infante. Visita Sevilla's 2027 guide announces non-stop metro service during the Feria; Metro de Sevilla publishes the exact hours closer to the date.
- TUSSAM Prado-Feria shuttle bus. It leaves from Prado de San Sebastián (Calle José María de Osborne) and stops next to the gateway. In 2026 it ran from 18:00 on the Monday of the lighting until 2:30 the following Monday, non-stop except from 7:00 to 12:00 on working days, with buses up to every 2 minutes at peak times. A ticket cost €1.60 in cash or by bank card (€1.50 with a Multiviaje travel card).
- Lines C1, C2, 5, 6 and 41. In 2026 they were diverted to stop on Avenida Presidente Adolfo Suárez, next to the Real, with non-stop service. From 24:00 to 6:00 the same special €1.60 fare applied.
- Taxis and ride-hailing (VTC). They have special access points and different fares during the Feria, according to Visita Sevilla. Expect queues when leaving in the early hours.
In 2026 a new pedestrian entrance also opened linking Calle Pepe Luis Vázquez with Avenida Juan Pablo II, closer to taxi and bus stops. Check TUSSAM notices the week before the Feria.
Accommodation: book early
Feria week is one of the busiest of the year in Seville, and in 2027 it comes only two weeks after Holy Week. If your dates are set, compare hotels for your nights as soon as possible and choose a rate with free cancellation.
To walk to the Real, the handiest areas are Los Remedios, where the fairground is, and Triana, right next to it. From the historic centre you have the metro and the shuttle from Prado de San Sebastián.
Combine the Feria with bullfights, flamenco and Holy Week
- Feria bullfights. According to the Real Maestranza de Caballería, the bullfighting season starts on Easter Sunday (28 March 2027) and continues with the April Fair programme, between 18 and 28 events depending on the year. Line-ups, dates and prices are published by the bullring's operator at lancesmaestranza.com; the 2027 programme has not been announced. If you would rather not attend a bullfight, you can tour the bullring through its visits website.
- Flamenco. The Feria is about sevillanas and rumbas; for a proper flamenco show, read our guide to flamenco in Seville with tablaos, show times and prices.
- Holy Week. In 2027 it ends on 28 March, two weeks before the Feria. If you can stretch your trip, everything is in our Holy Week 2027 guide.
- Mornings. The Feria only gets going around midday, so mornings are good for sightseeing. See our routes in the 1, 2 or 3-day Seville itinerary, and on Tiqets you can find tickets for the Alcázar and other Seville sights.
Practical tips for visitors from the US and outside Spain
- Guided walk around the Real. The tourist office runs one-hour walks from the gateway kiosk at 13:00, 14:30, 16:00 and 17:30, in Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese. In 2026 they cost €16; book at the kiosk or at the city's tourist offices.
- Download the App Sevilla. In 2026 the city council added a Feria section with a map of the Real, directions to a caseta or ride and real-time crowd density on each street.
- Cash, and go easy on the rebujito. Bring cash for vouchers and drink water: midday in April can be very hot.
- Respect private casetas. The railing marks the entrance; if you have not been invited, enjoy it from the street or head to a public one.
- Check the calendar. Concerts, exhibitions and other plans for those days appear on our Seville events calendar.
