Is there an All Saints' long weekend in Malaga in 2026?

Yes. Because 1 November falls on a Sunday, Andalusia has moved the day off to Monday 2 November, a public holiday across the region (BOE). The long weekend looks like this:

  • Saturday 31 October: Halloween.
  • Sunday 1 November: All Saints' Day.
  • Monday 2 November: public holiday in Andalusia.

Monday 2 is also a holiday in Madrid, but not in Catalonia or the Valencia region.

Halloween events in Malaga on 31 October

  • XI Noche del Terror de Churriana (Night of Terror): a spooky trail through the streets of the Las Pedrizas neighbourhood, on Saturday 31 from 19:00 to midnight. Free and for all ages; the council encourages fancy dress (Malaga City Council).
  • Halloween parties at Sala Paris 15: 'Fiebre Club: Halloween' on Friday 30 (Paris 15) and 'Abstract: Halloween' on Saturday 31 (Paris 15). Times and prices on the venue's website.
  • District parties: in 2025 the council ran free costume contests, make-up workshops and haunted passages in several districts, with extra EMT buses. The 2026 programme is not out yet; we will add it when it is.

Don Juan Tenorio at La Caja Blanca

Around All Saints' Day, Spain stages Zorrilla's play Don Juan Tenorio. In Malaga the Comediantes Malagueños company performs it in the auditorium of La Caja Blanca: Saturday 31 at 17:00 and 20:00 (Malaga City Council), and Sunday 1 at 19:00 (Malaga City Council). In Spanish, suitable for all ages; tickets on Entradium and at the box office from an hour before.

The English Cemetery and San Miguel Cemetery

  • English Cemetery (Avenida de Pries, 1): the first Protestant cemetery on mainland Spain (1831), now a historic garden five minutes' walk from the Centre Pompidou (English Cemetery Foundation). On Saturday 31 at 11:00 there is a guided tour in Spanish, €10, with limited places and booking recommended (English Cemetery Foundation). It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 14:00; it is closed on Mondays except public holidays, so it should open on Monday 2. General admission €5 (English Cemetery Foundation).
  • San Miguel Historic Cemetery: the council and Parcemasa, the city's cemetery company, hold events for All Saints' Day. In 2025 there was a free 'Requiem' concert on the evening of the 31st, a tribute with choir and Mass on 1 November and, on 8 November, a theatrical tour with scenes from Don Juan Tenorio (Malaga City Council, 24-10-2025). The 2026 programme has not been published yet.

Cemetery opening hours and buses

The 2026 hours are still pending. In 2025, from 25 October to 2 November, Parcemasa extended opening hours: San Gabriel and the Jardín del Recuerdo opened from 8:00 to 19:00 without a break, and San Juan (El Palo), San Antonio (Churriana), Olías and San Miguel from 9:00 to 18:30. EMT added buses on line 23 (Alameda Principal-El Cónsul-Parque Cementerio) (Malaga City Council, 24-10-2025).
