Train: the best option if it fits your flight

The airport has its own train station (Aeropuerto de Jerez). From arrivals, follow the Renfe signs. Two types of train stop there:

C-1 commuter train (Airport - Jerez - Cádiz)

  • Departures towards Jerez and Cádiz (October 2026): 7:30 am, 1:20 pm and 7:20 pm on weekdays; 8:29 am, 1:20 pm and 7:20 pm at weekends.
  • Journey time: 9 minutes to Jerez, 19 to El Puerto de Santa María, 38 to San Fernando and 60-70 to Cádiz.
  • Price: the airport and Jerez are in the same zone, so a ticket to Jerez costs €1.80. To Cádiz you cross all 5 zones: €4.05.
  • How to pay: at ticket machines or the ticket office, or with a contactless card or your phone at gates and validators. Tap out at the exit too: otherwise Renfe charges the maximum fare.

Regional train (Seville - Cádiz)

  • Weekday departures towards Jerez and Cádiz (October 2026): 7:39 am, 9:33 am, 12:06 pm, 1:43 pm, 3:40 pm, 5:41 pm, 7:23 pm and 10:58 pm. There are fewer at weekends.
  • Journey time: 7 minutes to Jerez, 17 to El Puerto de Santa María, 34 to San Fernando-Bahía Sur and 45-55 to Cádiz. In the other direction it reaches Seville in 1 hour 11 minutes.
  • Price: regional (Media Distancia) fare, different from the commuter fare. Check it on renfe.com when you buy.

Taken together, the first train leaves at about 7:30 am and the last at 10:58 pm.

Bahía de Cádiz consortium buses

The consortium's interurban lines stop at the airport, but with very few departures towards Jerez and Cádiz:

  • M-050 (direct): Monday to Friday at 4:15 pm, to Jerez (Avenida de Andalucía, Plaza del Caballo and the bus station). Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 3:15 pm, to Cádiz, arriving at 4:30 pm.
  • M-052 (via El Puerto and the Puerto Real campus): Monday to Friday at 9:30 am, reaching Cádiz at about 11:10 am.
  • Price: to Jerez, €1.45 (no zone jump); to Cádiz, €4.05 (6 jumps). Fares in force since 6 October 2026.

Only useful if your flight lands just before one of them.

Taxi: official Jerez fares 2026

The taxi rank is at the terminal. To Jerez the Jerez city fare applies, with a specific airport minimum fare approved by the regional government in February 2026:

Fare When it applies Airport minimum fare Per km
Fare 1 working days 7:00 am to 9:00 pm €16.72 €0.88
Fare 2 Saturdays and public holidays, working days 9:00 pm to 7:00 am, the Horse Fair and other special dates €21.13 €1.11
  • Supplements: €0.58 per suitcase or item over 60 cm and €1.50 per passenger from the fifth (maximum €3).
  • 12.5% surcharge on fare 2 on Saturdays and public holidays from midnight to 7:00 am, and at night during the Horse Fair, Holy Week, 31 December, 5 January and the zambomba (Christmas) season.
  • As the airport is close to the city, for central Jerez you will usually pay the minimum fare or a little more.

To Cádiz, El Puerto or Sanlúcar the regional interurban fare applies: €0.71 per km on working days from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm and €0.82 at other times. The rules count the trip as a round trip back to the starting point unless agreed otherwise, so agree the price before you get in.

Pre-booked private transfer

With Welcome Pickups you book before you fly: the driver tracks your flight, meets you at arrivals and the price is fixed and paid in advance.

It is worth it mainly if you are heading to Cádiz, El Puerto de Santa María or the coast and your flight does not match a train: the interurban taxi charges for the return leg, and a fixed price avoids surprises. For central Jerez in daytime, the train or a taxi is enough.

Which option suits you

  • Going to Jerez and there is a train within half an hour: train, €1.80 on the commuter line.
  • Going to Jerez and no train is due: taxi, from €16.72 on weekday daytime.
  • Going to Cádiz: regional or commuter train if they fit your arrival. If not, a pre-booked transfer or a taxi at an agreed price.
  • Landing at night: after the 10:58 pm train there is no public transport. Taxi or pre-booked transfer.
  • Family with suitcases or a group: taxi to Jerez or a pre-booked transfer to the coast; from the fifth passenger the taxi charges €1.50 more per person.
