What to see in Zaragoza in 1, 2 or 3 days

Almost everything you must see in Zaragoza is in the old town, between Plaza del Pilar and the Ebro river. One day covers the Basilica of the Pilar, La Seo cathedral and Roman Zaragoza; two add the Aljafería palace and the Goya Museum, and three leave time for free museums and the riverside. Note that the city's municipal museums close on Mondays.

Where to watch the sunset

  • The Pilar Tower lookout, which the cathedral chapter itself promotes as the place to watch the sunset. It closes at 20:00 and the last visit starts 30 minutes earlier, so in autumn and winter you have time.

Save the Puente de Piedra and Parque Grande for a dry day.
